Read 'Til You Drop

I've deleted the entry on health insurance from yesterday.  While there were some excellent questions raised, there were also some entries that implied that my goal is to eat children, abuse women, and make grown men cry.

I'm more comfortable avoiding hot button topics on this journal - sorry to have led any of you astray, who took the time to post.

Hmmm...  I was reading my Friends Page before I went to update, and so I was aware of the hew and cry (is that hue and cry?) about the new update page...

I was expecting a disaster.

But I'm actually quite pleased.  This re-design works well for me.  (I suspect that people would not have been as out of sorts, though, if LJ had given them the *option* of selecting the new design...)

I have revised the appearance of this blog (including listing the tags, in a column to the left!)  Since I can't stop meddling with all things code, I've also revised the appearance of my website. 

Gee, can you tell that I recently turned in a manuscript?

Whew. I am slowly, gradually, incrementally, whatever-ly gaining the top of my to-be-done pile. I managed to excavate my inbox at work. And my desk. And my credenza. (I'm going to be out of the office at a meeting next Monday through Wednesday, and I generally go on mad cleaning sprees before leaving.)

The one casualty, in all of my cleaning? Long lists of emails, blog posts, etc that I was "going to get to."

If you've posted something on my flist that I should know about, could you drop me a line? And I promise to be better in the future, OK?

Those of you who view my LJ "live" (rather than through your Friends page) - you'll see that I've given the place a bit of a facelift. These changes are meant to bring the color scheme in line with my new website - which will be debuting sometime in the next couple of weeks!

Mark has taken to calling me Web-Monkey. And given the amount of time I've spent fiddling with screen details, the name is entirely apt!
