Writer's Block
People often ask me how I get past writer's block. My short answer is that I don't - I never have enough time to write, so I've always got more ideas than I've been able to express, and I don't suffer from writer's block.
Upon reflection, though, there is one area where I *do* suffer from the affliction. And that is best described by this story:

Someone recently mentioned (I can't remember who it was!) that for friend's copies he often signs spurious thanks-- as in "Thanks for that wonderful night in Paris. I'll never forget it."
The George Bernard Shaw story was priceless.
