Award Nomination News

FANTASTIC COMPANIONS, the fantasy anthology that contains my story "The Darkbeast", has been nominated for the Prix Aurora Award, in the category "Best Other (English)." For those unfamiliar with the Aurora, it's Canada's version of the Hugo, where Canadian readers nominate and vote on Canadian work.  (FANTASTIC COMPANIONS is eligible because the editor, Julie Czerneda, is Canadian.) 
 
The announcement of the winner and presentation will be held at Toronto Trek this year. http://www.tcon.ca/tt20/ 

Working on any Czerneda project is exciting.  Seeing outsiders recognize the synergy that Julie builds and the contributions of everyone to the project has been truly satisfying.

Congratulations! Julie is great. She has so much energy it amazes me. There are so many great stories in FANTASTIC COMPANIONS--I hope it wins!

Yep - I've seen it in a number of US stores (the publisher is in Canada, but they ship throughout the world.) It's also available on (horrors!) online sites, such as Amazon:
