Major Announcement (To Me, At Least)
I have resigned from my day-job, so that I can be a full-time writer.
I won't bore you with the details - suffice to say that as of June 13, I'll be writer first and librarian somewhere-much-further-down-the-list. I'll be doing some freelance editing and writing, in addition to the novel writing, and I'll likely be doing some library consulting.
You won't see any changes here until after June 13, but I wanted to share the good news with all of you :-)

I actually stopped the major dayjob some time ago--subbing is exhausting, the kids were snotty, and the district wasn't hiring me full time after 3 1/2 years of trying. I figured when you get physically ill at the THOUGHT of going in to work, even at the best schools, it's time to quit. Right now I'm editing for a brand new small press, Lilley Press. Not making money yet, but I am sooooooooooooooooo much happier.
Here's wishing that your change to ft writing and freelancing will bring you as much happiness and peace (or more!) as it did for me! And more money. ;)
